Photography by Dixie, Portrait Designers, is a premier Portrait Studio located in Wichita Falls, Texas. Dixie Dobbins, PPA Certified, M. Photog., Cr. -FTPPA is the owner and chief photographer for the studio.

The studio specializes in Fine Portraiture of Families, Children, Weddings and High School Seniors. A small amount of commercial work and Aerial photography round out the the remainder of the studios work.

"Our goal is to provide a high level of Quality to discriminating clients who appreciate innovative portraiture and great customer service" says Ms. Dobbins.

"We consider ourselves Portrait Designers because every portrait we create is a one of a kind. We spend the time with you discussing the location for the portrait, coordinating clothing and the mood of the portrait" says Dixie.

"What we do is very special. Anyone can walk into a Walmart or chain studio and get cheap fast portraits, but that's not what we do here. We design portraits which capture the spirit of the person or family. We work very hard at creating something that will become an heirloom. Something that will take your breath away."

The Studio Staff and Dixie work with each client from the planning stages of the portrait to the finished product.

We are so proud to have Michelle as our Studio Manager. Michelle brings many years experience in customer service to our studio. She is a consummate professional, yet you will find her warm and kind personality will put you at ease. Michelle is married to Tom and has 2 daughters. She is active with the RELAY FOR LIFE cancer program. She is the cheerful voice you hear on the telephone and will assist you with scheduling and your portrait order.

Our newest team member is Kristine, our graphic artist. Her skills allow her to airbrush your portraits to make them "PICTURE PERFECT"! She has a Masters in Fine Arts and is very skilled in Graphic Design. Her abilities to transform your portraits into one of a kind works of art. Her personalized training under Dixie's guidance, coupled with her extensive background in all facets of graphic design and creation is what makes her an assett to the PBD team. Kristine is a native of Wichita Falls, but recently returned from living for several years in New Zealand. Kristine and her husband have 2 beautiful daughters.

Brooke is our production manager. She is the first to inspect and check for quality in our portraits. She also handles some telephone calls, and will assist you at times during your ordering session.She is also a graphic artist in training and is very bubbly and friendly. You may recognize her from television, where she worked at KFDX as a news reporter. She and Terry are newlyweds and we welcome Brooke to our team!

One of the benefits of the Studio is that they are a State-of-the-Art 100% Digital Studio, which means that you can view your Photographs the same day of your photo session, or return the very next day! There is no more waiting to see how they turned out!

The studio is the ultimate in luxury as well. You will be able to bring your family and friends with you to view your portraits. Sit back on a comfortable sofa where you get to view your photographs on a 72-inch screen! WOW! What a great way to see your beautiful Color Images come alive to music on a large screen!

If that wasn't enough, Dixie Dobbins is also a skilled Graphic Artist and she can remove any unwanted items from your photographs, including airbrushing your skin for a perfect complexion, whitening of teeth, removing a double chin, and even slimming down your waistline!

She can also do any other airbrushing to create the perfect portrait for you! There is a small fee for these services, but they look completely natural!

The finishing touch is our beautiful line of Custom Frames. "As experts, we know what frame looks best and we can make suggestions, which really adds to the beauty of the photograph."
